Youth are the pillars of society. Philosophies, teachings and ideas of the Swami Vivekananda are the great cultural and traditional assets from our heritage. Youth Day (Yuva Diwas or Swami Vivekananda Birthday) is celebrated every year on 12th of January to commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekanand.
It is of utmost importance to spread awareness about ideas and ideals of Swami Vivekanand among the youths. Celebrating this day is the great way to wake up the eternal energy of the youths as well as channelize their efforts to build a flourishing society by encouraging and inspiring them. VSS organises workshops, seminars, quiz and speech competitions and lectures at its nine chapter locations across Singapore for kids and youth.
